Now I understand about the car. Pontiac only sold those in Canada. I think the last US Tempest was early 70's

Its the twin of the Chevy Corsica, the exterior is virtually identical. Not much difference inside either.

Yeah, GM of Canada has done that a lot over the years - Reworked Chevrolets as Pontiacs that are Canadian only. Similar to the Meteor and Monarchs that Ford of Canada offered.
